From May 10th to May 14th 2017 Kyiv hosts the 8th Food and Wine Festival. This time the festival theme is wine and cheese. In 2017 all the foodies are invited to taste the classical combination of fine wine and selected cheeses at Expocenter of Ukraine known as VDNH complex.
The schedule of the Food and Wine festival promises to be exceptionally busy this time. The event offers all the guests the wine run, the wine lectures and workshops sections, the oysters battle, beautiful decor, lectures on wine and wine tastings from leading Ukrainian and foreign wine houses.
Wine course of lectures lasts for two days on May 10th and May 13th, 2017. During these lectures experienced sommeliers will share their knowledge and secrets about wine.

The Wine Run will be held on May, 14th. This is a unique and fun event that combines the marathon and wine tastings. All the runners will have a chance to taste various kinds of wine at the chateau-stops located along the 5 km route. This is a costume run, so the special present will go to the participant with the most original costume. The winner of the run will get a lot of wine, naturally. However, the weight of the wine will be equal to the winner’s body weight. Prior registration is required to take part in the Wine Run.
Food and Wine Festival in Kyiv is not just a festival, it’s a whole movement, a community of passionate people committed to have some quality time with a glass of fine wine and exceptionally good food.
Another popular street food festival in the capital of Ukraine Ulichanya Eda decided to take no risks and theme their May fest around Eurovision 2017 Song Contest.
Ulichnaya Eda festival in Kyiv has successfully popularized European culture of cooking and consuming street food in Ukraine. This event usually gathers more than 30 thousand people, and this number continues to grow. The organizers are always glad to present new interesting enthusiasts of food making such as restaurants, cafes, food trucks, craft manufacturers, farmers, hand-makers and many others.

In May 2017, Ulichnaya Eda Food Festival will actually turn into Gastrovision to celebrate the gastronomical culture of all the participating in Eurovision 2017 Song Contest countries.
The best street food from all over Europe will be waiting for all the guests on May 13th - 14th, 2017, at “Art-zavod Platforma” space, 1 Bilomorska str., near Lisova subway station in Kyiv.
From May 27th to May 28th, 2017 Kyiv Ukrainian House (2, Khreshchatyk street, Kyiv) will host the National Ice Cream Festival. Here guests will have a chance to taste ice creams from numerous Ukrainian makers, stock up on the newest flavors of this favorite summer treat and enjoy the fun and exciting atmosphere of the sweetest food festival in Kyiv.
