Springtime festivals and events in Ukraine come in all shapes and sizes, from traditional country feasts to world-class sporting events and quiet, intellectual affairs. What’s more, there’s something to suit all tastes and interests. «Destinations» gathered together a list of the most interesting spring festivals in Ukraine.

All the ski and snowboard riders alert. Z-Games on Snow and Bukovel Sunny Days will be a cherry on top of your winter season. Bukovel, the most popular ski resort in Ukraine invites to spend your last ski or snowboard days of the season with best Djs, who will be hosting exciting open-airs directly on the slopes, best food vendors from all over Ukraine and hottest parties after dun goes down. Sakura Fest

Sakura Festival traditionally invites to the city of Uzhgorod to enjoy beautiful sakuras in bloom. The Cherry Blossom Festival will be held in Uzhgorod from April 18th to April 30th, 2017 and will celebrate the return of spring to the city.
It’s traditionally celebrated by picnicking with family and friends under the blossoming cherry trees. Flowers – and nature in general – are particularly symbolic throughout Japanese culture, and the cherry blossom represents both a new beginning and the fragility of life.

Forpost Festival of Medieval Culture

The Forpost Medieval Festival is a celebration of Ukraine's rich medieval heritage. Offering walks, talks and historical re-enactment games, this medieval themed festival in Kamyanets Podil’sky annually gathers many visitors from all over the country as well as foreign guests. The Festival will take place from April 29th to May 1st, 2017.

Batyar Day

Flugery Lvova (Lviv Vanes)

This is a well stablished and beloved by locals ethno-jazz festival in Lviv. The festival has been gathering all the jazz enthusiasts, musicians and singers in Lviv since 2003. Flugery Lvova (which can be translated as Lviv vanes) will be traditionally taking place in the inner courtyard of Lviv City Council, more commonly known as Ratusha, located on Rynok Square.
