The history of the Pellegrino Company, since 1880, is a continuous motion. Today’s Company is guided by the tradition an the culture that, through history, passes down the legacy of its values and direction.

in 1880 Paolo Pellegrino, notary and wine maker, founded the company with its own winery. Together with his son Carlo, also notary and wine maker, in a few years, they succeeded in transforming the Company, born as family concern, into one of the most flourishing and important oenological business in Marsala.
After his father died, Carlo took over control of the Company, together with his wife Josephine Despagne, a French lady, who brought, as a dowry, her family’s knowledge, since she was the daughter of a famous french oenologist, Oscar Pierre Despagne, native of Sauternais. The stages of their continuous success and of their economic expansion were achieved and consolidated by the following generations.
The history of the company and of the family have run parallel courses, and the wealth of experience in the vineyards and the work in the wine cellar passed on to the “Cavaliere del
Lavoro” (official decoration in Italy, knight of the order of merit for labour) Benedetto Tumbarello, husband of Agata Pellegrino and chairman of the company up to 1996.
Italian region of Marsala now is the place where the historical Pellegrino wine cellars are located. These days it’s a real wine museum visited by thousands of tourists every year. Marsala is also the name of the most popular wine produced by Pellegrino winery.

Pellegrino Winery if a family run business, one of the most successful wine business not only in Italy but in Europe. The brand is well known and recognized by many fans of fine wines around the world. Pellegrino party in Kyiv aimed at promoting the wine brand among new clients and showcasing Pellegrino new sorts of wine. Kyiv’s popular sommeliers and wine experts attended this event.
