Spring 2018 Tulips Festival in Kyiv

When it comes to flowers, spring is truly unstoppable: there might be piles of snow lying around in every corner, but city dwellers will snatch a bouquet or two to put in water in their apartment, while those who live in the country already marvel at their garden. This April dwellers of Kyiv have a chance to marvel as well: Spivoche Pole hosts a flower festival, where tulips of all shades and sorts will charm their way into visitor’s hearts.

Spivoche Pole, or the Singing Field, located in the Pechersk Landscape Park is an often host of various events: from the most famous folk Kraina Mriy festival and sporting events to various flower festivals during spring and summer.
This March, the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Kyiv State Administration held a press tour to show the capabilities of the park’s greenhouses, where the beautiful flowers gain strength and color.

Locals and tourists will have a chance to witness thousands of tulips of various colors on a large festival. Apart from the tulips, the whole landscape park is available for exploration — its slopes and alleys are home to intriguing flora and fauna, and often become a place of encounter with squirrels.
