The festival opening will be held on September, 16, 2016. The audience will be shown the "Show B.” – a new type multi-genre performance of Vladislav Troitskiy that combines theatre, music, circus, opera, puppet theatre and media art. The Dakh Daughters interlace the show with their new songs.

GOGOLFEST founder Vlad Troitskiy will also present three more projects at the festival: on September, 17 – the unique aesthetic experience, the play "...but for the wind..."; on September, 18 – the grandiose premier of opera-show “BABYLON” from the «IYOV» opera creators Roman Grygoriv and Ilya Razumeyko; on September, 22 – Troitskiy presents the new show by DakhDaughters, a freak-cabaret "BABYLON FEMMES».
In 2016 GOGOLFEST is a combination of different festivals and art events, what makes it one of the biggest art happenings in Europe.

The undeniable international headliner of theatre program is Vilnius City Theatre of Oscaras Korshunovas, which is the part of the "Lithuanian Focus" program. A legend of the world theatre will show in Kyiv two plays – "The Lower Depths" and "Krapp’s Last Tape". The "Good day!" Opera for ten cashiers sounds of shopping centre and piano from the independent group "Operomaniya” is slated to become yet another hit of "Lithuanian Focus". In total, theatre program will present more than twenty international and Ukrainian events.

These include the choreographic program, by stars of Ukrainian and foreign modern choreography. Feel link – a choreographic performance by Low Air Dance Theatre that took Lithuania street underground choreography to a new level. Conversation – a dance performance by Kozar Dance Theatre, founded by choreographer and director Vasyl Kozar, winner of "Everybody Dance! 4", finalist of "Everybody Dance. Heroes Return". FEMMINILE  – the first step in the MMDT history, acollaboration of open-minded, freedom-loving dancers. Information on more events is to be found on the web-site of the festival.

Academic music presents the "Bunker" project, where the audience will have an opportunity to hear the world-famous musicians in the atmosphere of a true underground bunker. On September, 17 – concert-improvisation by Helena Winkelman (Switzerland) and “Drevo” band (Ukraine) will unite modern artist's sound of violin with our spiritual legacy and authentic Ukrainian songs. On September, 18 – the world premiere by Erik Bosgraaf (recorder) and Olga Pashchenko (harpsichord) duo will perform the works of Dutch composers, written specially for GOGOLFEST 2016. On September, 25 – Elias Faingersh (Israel) and The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine will tell Shakespeare’s most famous tale, translating the drama of the work into a musical dialogue with his co-performers.

Burn, Babylon exhibition will be held from the 16th to the 25th of September at Art-zavod Platforma. A famous Ukrainian gallerist Yevhen Bereznyc’kyj is a curator of the project. Project’s aim is to manifest ideological extremes of the present time. The exhibition is divided in four blocks: Futurcult, Slave Socialism, Total War, and Orthodox Queer. New names will be heard at the exhibition alongside of famous ones. Young artists created a lot of objects and performances specially for the festival. This project is an instrument for embodiment of the most daring and provocative ideas. The opening of the exhibition Burn, Babylon will take place on the 16th of September at 20.00 at Art-zavod Platforma, at Bilomorska Street, 1. Locations: Palec’3.2 (Finger 3.2) and Bunker.

Apart from exclusive events that require a separate ticket, most of the festival events will be accessible using standard entrance tickets. Ticket for a separate festival event allows you a free entry to the festival on the day of the event. The ticket for the festival opening on September, 16 costs UAH 120, rising to UAH 150 on the day of the event. On the main days of the Festival – September, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 – the entrance tickets cost UAH 80. On September 20, 21, 22, the entrance fee is UAH 25.
