Benedict Cumberbatch takes on the title role in Shakespeare’s great tragedy. Directed by Lyndsey Turner (Posh, Chimerica) and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, the Barbican presents an exclusive twelve-week run of this compelling new production in summer 2015.
As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralysed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state. This play will be screened on December 31st, 2016.

The second play of the Theater HD project in Lviv is legendary Frankenstein. Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein's bewildered creature (Lee Miller) is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker (Cumberbatch). Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the friendless Creature, increasingly desperate and vengeful, determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. The play will be screened on December 29th and 30th, 2016.
