On December 26, 2017 Ukraine International Airlines will start operating flights from Kyiv to Krakow. This information is already available in UIA booking system. Until January 7, the flights will take place 6 times per week, and after this date, the connection will be available on daily basis. Flights from Boryspil airport to Krakow will be operated by Embraer 145 planes. Departure time from Boryspil is 8:40 PM, and arrival to Krakow is scheduled for 9:25 PM, while departure from Krakow will take place at 05:30 AM, and arrival to Kyiv – at 08:10 AM. Recently, UIA has received permission to operate regular flights to other three regional airports of Poland: Gdansk, Wroclaw and Poznan. The schedule of the upcoming flights is currently unavailable.

Hungarian lowcoster Wizz Air announces four new routes from Lviv airport in 2018. This information was presented by airport`s director Tatyana Romanovska on the annual conference of Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. She noted that Wizz Air has announced flights to Gdansk, Katowice, Dortmund and London. These flights are already included into route map of the airline company. According to Wizz Air booking system, flights to Katowice and Gdansk will be available from March 26, 2018. The both flights will take place twice per week, on Mondays and Fridays. Starting from June 20, 2018, two flights to Katowice will be added on Wednesdays and Sundays. The minimal price for one-way ticket to Katowice and Gdansk will be UAH 279. Flights to Dortmund will be operated from May 21, 2018, on Mondays and Fridays. One-way ticket price will start from UAH 719. The schedule of flights to London is currently unavailable.

National Estonian airline company Nordica announces new upcoming flights from Tallinn to Zhulyany airport in Kyiv. The new routes will be operated starting from April 26, 2018. Currently Nordica offers daily flights to Tallinn from Boryspil airport.
On December 8, 2017, the first plane of Ernest Italian lowcoster took off from Zhulyany airport in Kyiv. Ernest will operate flights from Kyiv to Italian cities Milan and Naples three times per week. It should be also mentioned that on October 20, 2017 Ernest company launched routes from Lviv to Milan, and starting from December 8, 2017 it is possible to fly from Lviv to Naples and Venice. One-way ticket prices start from EUR 46-50.
On October 17, 2017 Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, the President of Malta, came to Ukraine with an official visit. According to the results of negotiations, it was decided that direct airline connection between Kyiv and Malta will be open in spring 2018.
