The biggest ostrich farm in Ukraine is located in Yasnogorodka, 30 km from Kiev toward Bysheva. Its huge territory, bordered by a stream with ponds, covers an area of 18 hectares. The first herd of ostriches was brought here from Belgium in 2001. Today, the total number of birds of different ages, who live at the farm, is over a hundred. Dozen of professionals, who conduct both scientific and breeding work, take care of ‘Ostich Valley’ inhabitants on a daily basis: farm’s ostriches are perfectly adapted to Ukrainian climate and domestic feed.

‘Ostrich Valley’ offers the guests excursions around ostrich farm, during which you can visit the families of adult birds and see ostriches aged from one day to three months. This 30-minute tour is a unique opportunity to approach as close as possible to the Black African ostrich, while the guide will tell you about the most curious features of the biggest birds on earth, how they live in the wild, as well as at Ukrainian farm. Moreover, you can watch ostrich races or even enjoy riding an ostrich.

‘Ostrich Valley’ aslo invites the smallest visitors to its mini-zoo, where they will get an opportunity not only to get acquainted with the pigs, goats, sheep, pheasants, ducks, peacocks, rabbits, donkeys, ponies and camel, but feed them and establish contact with them as well.
