Kyiv City Zoo
Needless to say, the city zoo is one of the best places to spend quality time with children. One of the biggest in the former USSR, Kyiv Zoo hosts more than a thousand animals from various parts of the world. Kids often are most interested to see cheerful elephants and graceful tigers. The vast green territory has a lake with swans and ducks to take a rest after the long walk. Ticket price is UAH 70 for adults and UAH 45 for kids. It's better to order the ticket online on the English version of the zoo's website to skip the long lines on weekend.

Kyiv Circus
The classical circus located on Peremohy Avenue welcomes guests from autumn to spring. Programs here comprise shows with animals, air gymnastics, tightrope walking and clownery. While most people do not condone circuses with live animals, it's also necessary to realize they continue to be part of the culture.

National Museum of Natural History
Based on classical approach to museum study, the Museum comprises five expositions: Geological, Paleontological, Zoological and Botanical. Kids often like to roam in the halls that host an enormous collection of more than 30 thousand specimen of plant and life forms, artifacts of the tribes and peoples of the modern Ukraine territory. The State Aviation Museum
Located close to Kyiv (Zhuliany) International Airport, this open-air museum is essentially an exposition of more than 50 aircrafts and helicopters. While the museum is interesting on its own as kids and adults can get inside many real planes, it also is an often host of various festivals from retro cars expo to live music. Ticket price is UAH 50 for adults and UAH 20 for kids. Children up to age 7 can enter for free.

Kyiv Water Museum
Based in the ancient city water tower, Kyiv Water Museum attracts visitors with very special, witty, entirely interactive and entertaining approach to water issues: from water circulation in nature to history of municipal sewer system. Kids often love to be placed inside a huge human-sized bubble that is also included in the museum's excursion. Ticket price is UAH 20.

Experimentarium
One of the new additions to the Kyiv museums, Experimentarium is aimed at educating kids in an fun interactive way. Kids are welcome to conduct experiments and see for themselves how various laws of physics, chemistry and biology work in real life. The place is well worth a visit if you have active kids with enquiring minds.

Kyiv Planetarium
The recently renovated Planetarium is located near the Olympiiskyi Stadium on the same-named metro station. The spherical cinema attracts those who love the stars and want to get a deeper understanding of astronomy and other natural sciences. Some movies are showed in English. Moreover, Planetarium regularly hosts live music concerts under the starry sky.
