The railway for kids in Kiev offers the young railway students to conduct the work of drivers, conductors, railway workers, heads of stations under the supervision of professional instructors.

Small South Western Railway, which is about three kilometers long, was opened in 1953 on the territory of the Syrets Park, close to Babiy Yar Park. The trains run between two stations - ‘Cherry Tree’ and ‘Apple Tree’ – each year in Kiev from May to August during the weekends.
