In the beginning of Volodymyrska street you will find lots of historic sights, monuments and places of interest such as the cozy neighborhood near Andriyivsky Descent, the ancient foundation Desyatynna Church, the first Orthodox church in Kiev Rus, Mykhailivska Square with Saint Michael’s Cathedral, Sofiivska Square with famous Saint Sophia Cathedral and Bohdan Khmelnytskiy monument. Between these two squares stands one of the most luxurious hotels in Kiev – Hyatt Regency – with one of the best views in Kiev.

If you continue your walk, you get to Golden Gates, reconstructed monument from the times of Yaroslav the Wise governing in Kiev Rus that one of the main entrances to Kiev. In front of the monument, at the corner of Volodymyrska and Prorizna streets, stands a beautiful building - the legendary house in Kiev. Once its walls housed the popular in Kiev café-confectionery ‘Marquis’, mini-hotel’s ‘Palermo’ rooms, which famous Soviet writer Mikhail Bulgakov described in ‘Days of the Turbins’, and later, during the Soviet times, restaurants ‘Chaika’ and ‘Leipzig’.

A little bit down the street, on the crossing with Bohdana Khmelnytskoho street, you will see Kiev Opera House on the right side.

After on, you will enter the business part of Kiev with Leonardo Business Center in Volodymyrska street and several others located closer to the area around Lva Tolstoho and Sportyvna squares. However, in front of the main red building of National Taras Shevchenko University, there is a beautiful green park where you can relax, play with kids and enjoy a bicycle ride.
Further, down the street, many nice restaurants, bars and cafés are located around here, which give a wide choice of variants where to have lunch or how to spend your evening.
