In Geneva, Bern and Zurich, a series of events is planned over several weeks. Actions will take place in the central squares of the cities, prayers for peace will be held in temples.
Discussions, conferences, concerts, master classes and screenings of "Hamlet Syndrome" in Zurich and "The Earth" in Geneva are also planned.
In the political capital Bern, the anniversary of the war in Ukraine will be commemorated with the President of the National Council, Martin Kandinas, and representatives of the Ukrainian communities in Switzerland.
The international light concept "Light Will Win Over Darkness" #LightWillWinOwerDarkness will also be implemented in major Swiss cities as a sign of protest against the war in Ukraine. During the campaign, anyone who wishes can light a candle in memory of all victims of war in Ukraine. Organisers encourage people to bring two candles: one to light themselves and one to share with a stranger.
