Masterpieces by Dutch painters of the XVII century in Museum of Western and Eastern Art
Museum of Western and Eastern Art in Odesa is going to present the new exhibition “Golden age: the art of Holland of the XVII century”, consisting of artworks from the Museum`s holdings. The exposition will include more than 60 works, including few ones that have been never exhibited in the Museum before. The visitors of the exhibition will see 27 paintings, 28 engravings, 1 original painting and several items made of Dutch majolica. “Golden age” exposition is especially notable for two masterpieces created by the great portraitist Frans Hals: “Luke the Evangelist” and “Matthew the Evangelist”. These paintings are included to the prestigious catalogues; they took part in many exhibitions in London, Washington, Kyiv and other cities. The main ideas of the project are to show the high level of museum collection and to familiarize visitors with works of the eminent Dutch artists of different genres that were popular in the Netherlands during the Golden age of its art. The exposition includes works of Bartholomeus van der Helst, Nicolaes Berchem, Abraham Bloemaert and many other. The program of the project offers special curatorial excursions, thematic lections, classes for kids, screening of movies.

Soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre in Opera House
All lovers of ballet are welcome to Odesa Opera House to enjoy brilliant performances of the famous Bolshoi Theatre soloists. During three days, the dancers will present the brightest fragments of the best world`s ballets. The performance will combine the most sophisticated elements of classic and modern ballet art. The program called “Summer Mash-Up” will unite dancers of the Bolshoi Theatre, Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre, honored artists and laureates of international contests and soloists of other well-known ballet companies. The list of participants of “Vivat Ballet” gala concert includes such well-known names as Andrey Bolotin (Bolshoi Theatre), Alexey Putintsev (Bolshoi Theatre), Nadezhda Ivanova (Ekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatre) and Viktoria Dymovska, the honored artist of Ukraine.

Orchestra of the Americas First Concert in Ukraine
The end of July 2018 in Odesa has a gift for all the fans of symphonic music. The grandiose project “Orchestra of the Americas”, consisting of 110 best musicians from America and Europe, is coming to Ukraine for the first time. The artistic director of the orchestra is Plácido Domingo — the famous Spanish opera singer with amazing tenor voice. The orchestra, which includes talented musicians from 26 countries, has already performed more than 350 excellent concerts on the best world`s stages. The music of “Orchestra of the Americas” is broadcasted on radio and TV, and its compact discs are sold in many countries. The main purposes of the event are to give new opportunities to young gifted artists, to invite young Odesa dwellers to the world of art and to award 5 young Ukrainian prodigies with special grants. The concert program consists of compositions written by the famous classics such as Pyotr Chaikovsky, ethnic Brazilian music by Heitor Villa-Lobos and other composers. The orchestra will be conducted by Hobart Earle, the honored artist of Ukraine and the leading conductor of Odesa Philharmonic Orchestra, and Carlos Miguel Prieto – the famous conductor from Mexico.
