If you are in a hurry and have a limit of time, choose the metro. It is the best decision for those who want to avoid hundreds of cars and do not want to be late on the appointment or meeting. Kiev metro works from approximately 5.30 a.m. (depending on the specific station) to 12 p.m. The price per trip is UAH 4. For constant travelers there is an option of the electronic cards with discounts.
Tip: Kiev metro is completely full in the rush hours (8-10 a.m. and 6-7.30 p.m.) of working days. Notice this while planning your trips.

This kind of public transport is especially useful in districts without metro (for example, Troyeshchina district) and for suburbs. The cost of one trip is UAH 3In buses you should pay directly to the driver, in trolleybuses and trams wait for the conductor (with special green or red jacket). Take into account, that buses, trolleybuses and trams are also busy in rush hours.
Tip: Don’t forget to punch the tickets, because sometimes there is control checking on bus stops. The penalty cost is UAH 60.

Of course, you can also order a taxi in Kiev. This is a comfortable way of travelling and a lifebuoy when you are in a hurry. The one can choose a taxi service for every taste and wallet. You will be offered with different models of cars, levels of comfort and prices. Moreover, Uber is available in Kiev from spring. The order may be made over the telephone or mobile application. Prices per trip mostly depend on distance. You can also use Uklon or Cab24 mobile apps for booking a taxi in Kiev.
Tip: order a taxi a little bit before the needed time because of busy traffic. If the weather is nasty ordering may take even 20-40 minutes.

This type of Kiev public transport is very popular among tourists and locals in spring, summer and in the beginning of fall. You can take a boat along Dnipro river and see all beautiful and well-knows sights from water. Do not forget to bring you camera and make a lot of marvelous photos. The price for such trip depends on its length (1 hour, 2 hours or more). Price starts from UAH 100. Kiev river station close to Post Square (PochtovaPloshcha metro) is the departure point.
Tip: grab some warm clothes with you in case you are planning to boat in the evening.

Funicular in Kiev

Legendary Kiev funicular welcomes people to have a short but very interesting ride from St. Michael's Cathedral to the Post Square. The price for the trip is UAH 3. Be ready to wait for 5-10 minutes for the next descent.
Tip: Kiev funicular is closed for a month every year (in summer) due to repairs.
