At the middle of the 19th century the brewery has already become one of three superior breweries of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the largest enterprise of brewing industry in the region. During Soviet Union the enterprise was turned into the Lvivske State Enterprise of food industry "Kolos" which incorporated five breweries in Western Ukraine.

Lvivska brewery these days is committed to development in the segment of traditional beer, keeping up old traditions of flavour and quality. The enterprise's mission is: “Save venerable brewing traditions for future generations”. Actualizing this mission, the enterprise maintain and restores old recipes, using state-of-the-art technologies.
The excursion and a tasting tour, which runs roughly every 1½ hours, through the mainly underground facilities is well worth the trek out of the city centre. One old storage vault has been turned into an atmospheric beer hall where you can sample even more frothy Lvivske, one of the most popular brands in the country. The Lviv Beer Museum owns some unique items which will help to discover the ancient history of beer making in Europe.

To reach the museum, take tram 7 to St Anna Church (where Shevchenko street parts from Horodotska street) then walk north along Kleparivska street for around 10 minutes. The Lviv Beer Museum address is Kleparivska Street, 18, Lviv.
