Truth be told, Ukrainians love spending weekends outdoors making campfires and preparing food. With the arrival of spring and summer just around the corner many people will opt for forests and parks around Kyiv to spend their days off busking in the sun and enjoying freshly roasted meats (known as «shashlyk») and vegetables in a good company of family and friends.
Kyiv City authorities inform that campfires may not be lit at any local parks and forests, except those listed on the map. And even though campfires are still allowed at the locations provided in this map, tourists must always remember that the campfires should never be left unattended, and they should be cold to the touch before leaving the area.
