Only here you can see the enchanting flowering azaleas of old German breeding varieties of 20th century ("Professeur Wolters", "Paul Schame", "Adventsglockchen", "Concinna", "Apollo", "Celestinum"), which initiated the creation of the modern collection of azaleas. Plants were brought to Kyiv during the postwar period in 1946 by the director of the Botanical Garden, academician Mikhaylo Grishko.
Domestic breeding varieties - "Yablonka", "Svetlana", "Kyiv Waltz", "Smuhlianka” - will please you with gentle colors.
Azalea is a plant with a very positive energy. It always maintains the premises festive atmosphere with its extremely elegant bright flowers. You can also enjoy the walk on the alleys of the botanic garden far from city fuss.
