Often called a cognac in the world of rum, Zacapa belongs to status brands. Its rich sweet flavor of fruits and spices is deliberately balanced due to an intricate technology — this rum is aged in barrels of sherry, bourbon and cognac in the highlands of Guatemala according to the Solera system.
On February 23, a master rum blender Lorena Vasquez hosted a closed flat-format degustation for the connoisseurs of Kyiv. It was the first event of such format held in Ukraine's capital.
Each degustation resembles a ceremony and carries different story, and this time event was accompanied by piano improvisation and poetry reading by Vania Yakimov. Lorena recited a few poems in Spanish as well.
