The poster exhibition ‘Sonia Delaunay 130’ is designed to celebrate the anniversary of the world famous artist. The exhibition, co-organized by IZOLYATSIA in collaboration with ‘4th Block’ graphic designers association and ‘GRAFPROM’ studio, is featuring art works created by contemporary designers from all around the globe.
November 14, 2015 marked the 130th anniversary of Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979), a prominent Art Deco artist and designer, who was born and spent her childhood in Ukraine. Sonia Delaunay used to admit that her love for bright colors was rooted in the memories of her childhood, especially the images of traditional Ukrainian weddings.
In November, ‘4th Block’ association announced a ‘Sonia Delaunay 130’ poster campaign to honor artist’s contribution to the world art and design. Over a month, about 200 posters, made by Ukrainian and international designers, were received. The 50 best posters, selected by a special jury, are going to be presented during the exhibition at IZOLYATSIA.
Add this event to your list of things to do in Kiev for February to enjoy bright colors and modern design solutions
