While Zakarpattia is the most-visited region when it comes to skiing. There are several popular ski resorts located within 100 kilometers from Lviv.

Fairy Glade

Mom and kid skiingКазкова Поляна ("Fairy Glade") is located in Poliana village, approximately 30 kilometers from Lviv. The skiing base has a 900-meter track for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. The local slopes are suitable for rookies and kids. In case you've never tried skiing, Fairy Glade offers to take a lesson with an instructor at the local skiing school. A café located on the territory of the base welcomes guests after the warmup.

In 2019, the price list is formed based on the seasons: during the high season (January 1-20) and weekends, 5 rides on a chair lift cost UAH 175, 15 rides cost UAH 375, and 25 rides cost UAH 500. During the regular season (working days in February and weekends in March), 5 rides cost UAH 100, 15 rides cost UAH 225, and 25 rides cost UAH 300. Finally, during the low season (working days in March) the price is the lowest - UAH 75 for 5 rides, UAH 175 for 15 rides, and UAH 200 for 25 rides. The ski track works on Mon-Fri from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Sat-Sun from 9 A.M. to 10 P.M.

Maydan Charivni Ozera

Charivni Ozera skiing resort in LvivCharivni Ozera (Magic Lakes) is a popular tourist complex located in Maidan village, approximately 30 kilometers from Lviv. The car ride to the location takes about 1 hour depending on the highway.

The tourist complex has one 680-meter track and a 450-meter chairlift for two. A ski school is available for both rookies and amateurs who want to polish their skills. The complex has a hotel and 8 cottage houses for the visitors who want to stay the night.

The prices in 2018-2019 season are the following: on Mon-Fri, 1 ride on a chairlift costs UAH 70, 3 hours of skiing costs UAH 350 and a day pass costs UAH 450. On Sat-Sun and the period from January 1 to 14, the price for 1 ride is UAH 100, 3 hours cost UAH 450 and a day pass costs UAH 550. You also have to pay a safety deposit of UAH 50, which will be returned after you turn in the card.

The ski lift works daily from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Bukovytsia

Bukovytsia ski resort near LvivBukovytsia ski resort lies in the borders of Lviv region and at the same time is close to the Carpathians - Truskavets resort located 7.4 km and Skhidnytsia 17.5 km away.

The local tracks are located on Bukovytsia mountain with the longest route being 1,050 meters and maximum vertical height being 160 meters. The resort also has two chair lifts, Doppelmayr and Multilift. A ski school offers individual and group lessons for kids and adults.

In 2018-2019 season, Bukovytsia has several ski passes:

  • 1-day pass - UAH 480 on Mon-Fri; UAH 530 on weekends and holidays
  • 3-days pass - UAH 1350
  • 4-days pass - UAH 1700
  • 5-days pass - UAH 2000

Equipment rental is also available here. The full skiing kit costs UAH 200, as well as the full snowboarding kit. You can also rent skis, snowboards, helmets or other equipment separately.

Bukovytsia ski resort works from 10 A.M. to 4.30 P.M. on Mon-Fri and from 9 A.M. to 4.30 P.M. on Sat-Sun.
