The research based on Gallup Law and Order Report 2018 helped to determine the best countries for solo travel in the world in 2019. 142 countries participated in the research. Their residents were asked questions about how safe they feel walking alone at late night, their confidence with local police and its assistance, whether they had been assaulted or mugged and more.

They compiled “positive” responses to four questions into a Law and Order Index score for each country. The higher the score, the higher the proportion of the population that reports feeling safe. According the results the safe and great solo trips can be done in these countries:
