The ceramic artist’s hand guides us across the otherworldy volcanic topography of Cappadocia, one of the most mysterious regions of the world. With its network of underground cities, tunnels, rock-cut churches, and fairy chimneys, the very ground is an artwork sculpted by an unseen hand.“Inspiration for this project came in 2015, when I found out about the Cappadocia region in Turkey. And so for three years now I’ve dreamt of visiting the famous Cappadocian caves. I couldn’t make it this year either. There have been many other cities and countries, but Cappadocia remains in my thoughts, she is waiting for me. I think that I’ll visit next year. This is where the title comes from. Caves and contemporary cities, dreams and memories that are one and the same,” - says the Ukrainian ceramic artist.
