Kharkiv Music Fest 2019: Classic Music is in the Air

Kharkiv Music Fest 2019

From March 23 to April 7, 2019 there will be the Second International Music Festival KharkivMusicFest devoted to Genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. There will be a professional forum of classical music in Ukraine - Kharkiv Music Forum within the framework of the festival for the first time in Ukraine. The purpose of the Forum is to unite the leading players of the Ukrainian music industry.

During the last two years, several important and resonant infrastructural changes in the sphere of culture and art have taken place in the musical life of Kharkiv. There was an opening of two new Philharmonic halls, rebranding of Kharkiv National Opera and Ballet Theater as well as the foundation of the KharkivMusicFest, the organizers of which seek to create a world-class music festival that would attract a diverse audience, in particular tourists, who specifically coordinate their routes with the dates of this event.

This approach gives the festival a unique opportunity to be in harmony with many contemporary European events, to set up an active cooperation on cultural exchange not only between Ukrainian cities but also between countries, which is very relevant in the context of integration into the world and European cultural space.
In 2019 KharkivMusicFest will present absolutely new musical genres and formats to the public. In particular, this year the Festival Orchestra will become international - the first stars of the national symphony orchestras of Austria, Georgia, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic will perform together with Ukrainian musicians. For the first time in Ukraine a French sextet of one of the most celebrated in the world orchestras Les Musiciens du Louvre will come to Ukraine (they will open the festival "French Spring in Ukraine"). The American pianist George Lee will also perform in Ukraine at the Festival. Among the invited stars of the concert-closing Opera-Gala are soloists of the Hamburg Opera Dovlet Nurgeldiev (tenor) and Olga Busyok (soprano) - the winner of many of the most prestigious vocal competitions and world-renowned Ukrainian conductor Andriy Yurkevich, who repeatedly stood behind the music panel board of the largest opera houses in Europe.

#KharkivMusicFest 2019 will present 4 concerts in 3 concert halls (Kharkiv Philharmonic Organ and Large Halls, "East Opera") and a number of special projects, among them the new educational formats of Amadeus Camp's children's music camp, a series of free Amadeus-Talk lectures and the First Professional Classical Music Forum in Ukraine - Kharkiv Music Forum.
The main message of KharkivMusicFest is: classical music is not an elite territory for chosen people. This is not music of holidays, but daily music for ordinary people who appreciate life. KharkivMusicFest salon is exactly about that: "Confess that you listen to the classic music ..."
