Barometer 2018 will take place in the Parkovy Convention and Exhibition Center. Each year, organizers choose a topic to discuss with the guests and in 2018 the theme of the show is borders. While it may sound confusing at first, the topic is, in fact, quite profound — guests will find out everything about the norms and borders of the bar industry as well as about nowadays challenges.
Apart from the pressing topics of gender, geographical borders and age will be discussed as well. Some speakers will focus on the line that lies between a bar and a restaurant, while others will talk about how to keep the cocktail ingredients in balance. Global ambassadors of famous alcohol brands, winners of international competitions and owners of renowned bars around the world are among the 30 speakers.
To give a sneak peek, the bar manager at the award-winning Manhattan Bar in Regent Hotel Singapore Philip Bischoff, the winner of the prestigious «International Bartender of the Year» award Joe Schofield, and Hendrick’s Gin Global Ambassador Ally Martin will share their experience. Besides, Ukrainian bar masters like the co-founder of the first Ukrainian magazine on cocktail culture and bar industry Barout Maksym Andrushchenko and the bar manager and founder of Parovoz Speak Easy Dmytro Shovkoplyas will deliver speeches on the topic as well.
