The Most Expected Concerts 2019 in Ukraine

2019 promises to be an exciting concert year: Twenty One Pilots, Years & Years, MØ and many other popular musicians have already included Ukraine in their tour lists.

Twenty One Pilots


The most-awaited concert of winter 2019 in Kyiv is the performance of Twenty One Pilots - an electropop band that boasts numerous awards starting from Grammy and Billboard Music Award to MTV Europe Music. The breakthrough in the band's career is attributed to Blurryface album and its most successful single Stressed Out.

Twenty One Pilots also became internationally-known thanks to their single Heathens that was featured in the DC superhero movie Suicide Squad. In 2019, the band will perform in Ukraine for the first time and will present new tracks from the Trench album.

Tom Odell


Tom Odell is no stranger to the Ukrainian audience - in 2017, he had a solo concert in Kyiv and a year later joined his colleagues during the Atlas Weekend festival. The indie pop musician will present the new Jubilee Road album released in October 2018.

Years & Years


The new loud name in the world of synth-pop, Years & Years became increasingly popular when their single King appeared in the world music charts. The electronic melodies with the intense voice of lead singer Olly Alexander gained the band four nominations for BRIT Awards. The concert in Kyiv will take place on the Saint Valentine's Day when the band will perform biggest hits and songs from the new album, Palo Santo.

Yoav


The Israeli-Romanian musician Yoav will celebrate the 10th anniversary of his career in Kyiv. During the concert, the artist will present tracks from the new Multiverse album. Yoav became largely-known thanks to his cover of Where Is My Mind? that appeared in the 2011 movie Sucker Punch. The experimental genres of Yoav's music range from indie pop to trip hop.

The pianist also makes numerous references to nature in her works, saying that just like the Ocean connects the continents, people are connected by music.

LP


The author of the famous 2016 summer hit Lost On You will visit Ukraine this spring. Laura Pergolizzi commonly known as LP has already performed in Ukraine during the Atlas Weekend 2018. This year, the indie musician will present tracks from the new Heart to Mouth album.

Leopolis Jazz Festival


Leopolis Jazz Fest, previously known as Alfa Jazz Fest, is an international music festival annually held in Lviv from 2011. It was noted by The Guardian that included Leopolis Jazz Fest in the Top 10 jazz festivals in Europe. The event traditionally gathers legends of the genre like Dianne Reeves, Branford Marsalis and Arturo Sandoval. The line-up for 2019 is yet to be announced but as usual intrigues many jazz fans in Ukraine.

When: June 26-30

Atlas Weekend


Atlas Weekend is among the most popular and well-known music festivals in Ukraine. British Gigwise magazine included it in the top rating of best music festivals of the world in 2018. Atlas Weekend was founded in 2015 to bring Ukrainian artists to the limelight. In time, it hosted concerts of famous bands like Apocalyptica, The Prodigy, Placebo as well as new emerging artists like Martin Garrix and John Newman. Naturally, it is one of the most awaited festivals in Ukraine thanks to the abundance of popular artists it brings to the country. The line-up is to be announced in 2019.

When: July 9-14

Admission: UAH 1800 for the entire festival

UPark


UPark is a rather new festival, yet it is already loved by many Ukrainians and tourists that come to Kyiv. Throughout its existence, the festival brought numerous Grammy nominees to the capital - Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gorillaz, Muse, Hurts, Massive Attack, Kaleo and others.

In 2019, the location of the festival will change from the stadium to a total summer spot - open-air Sky Family Park with a large pool, a pop-up market, bar, and a clean beach. The line-up will feature Bring Me the Horizon, Nothing But Thieves, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Rag'n'Bone Man, The Prodigy and MØ.

When: July 16-18
