The grand event among the Kyiv festivals will feature classical music stars like like Krzysztof Penderecki, conductor Roman Revakovich (Poland), composer Alfred Schweizer (Switzerland), composer Kevin Meloun (USA / UK), flutist Anatoly Kogan (Israel), pianist Boris Zobin (Israel) and violinist Andriy Belov (Germany).
The opening concert of the music fest in Kyiv will take place on September 29 and will become a musical dialogue between Ukraine and Poland. The program features pieces by Bogdan Frolak, Igor Shcherbakov and Krzysztof Penderecki, the prominent Polish composer who will conduct the orchestra that night.
October 1 marks the International Day of Music and will feature two concerts: Ukraine-China with National Presidential Orchestra and musicians from the People's Republic of China, and Ukraine-Israel with the special project of the Israeli composer Anatoliy Kogan.
One more notable concert of the festival will take place in the picturesque St Nichola's Cathedral. The Boris Lyatoshynsky Ensemble of Classical Music will perform the program "Angels and Fireflies" lead by Bohdan Plish.
Finally, the closing concert of the festival will take place at the National Philharmonic on October 6. The performance will become a creative portrait of the outstanding composer and the longtime artistic director of Kyiv Music Fest - Myroslava Skoryka, who celebrates her 80th anniversary this year.
