Ocean Orchestra team unites leading professionals of Ukraine headed by the well-known conductor Olexiy Vikulov. The program includes Serenade for string orchestra written by Piotr Tchaikovsky, Symphony No 40 and Symphony for violin and alto with orchestra composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Taking the Stage 2018 Theatre Program in Kyiv

Taking the Stage is an annual theatre contest program supported by British Council Ukraine. The main purpose of this project is to find Ukrainian theatres and talented directors with unusual and creative approach to their plays. In the frame of Taking the Stage, Ukrainian artists work jointly with the experienced professionals from United Kingdom. As a result of this cooperation, Ukrainian theatres receive new experience, contacts and, of course, new performances. Thanks to support of the directors from such British theatres as Young Vic, Blind Summit, Sherman Cymru, Hull Truck and Live the program has reached the new level of quality. This October, the chosen contestants of Taking the Stage will present their plays to wide audience in Dovzhenko center in Kyiv.

Damien Escobar in Lviv



Damien Escobar, also known under the name Dam Esco, is a famous American violinist. In the age of 23, he played on the inauguration ceremony of Barack Obama as a member of Nuttin ‘But Stringz band. Nowadays, the musician composes his own masterpieces, enriching his “crossover violin” style with elements of classic, jazz, pop, R&B and hip hop. On the concert in Lviv, Damian will present versions of favorite hits by Adele, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Justin Timberlake along with his signature compositions.

Élysée String Quartet in Lviv



Élysée string quartet is a unity of different music schools in one team. Violinist Justina Zajančauskaitė was born in Lithuania, the second violinist Laurent Le Flécher is from France, violist Andriy Malakhov studied in Kyiv and cellist Igor Kyrychenko – in Odesa and Moscow. However, all artists are united by their love to Paris and chamber music. During their Lviv concert, the quartet will play compositions of Charles Gounod, Claude Debussy and Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff.
