Top Autumn 2018 Concerts in Ukraine

Summer ended with the Imagine Dragons concert in Kyiv, but the fun is far from being over yet. The following season promises even more loud names and musical legends — let’s see what concerts in Ukraine are in the top of autumn 2018.

Perturbator

The French king of synthwave will be one of many electronic musicians to pay a visit this autumn in Kyiv. Perturbator carefully mixes synth sounds so popular in the 80s with melancholic and dark melodies. His tracks were featured in movies like The Guest and classic computer games like Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2. At the moment, the French musician has four full albums and a bunch of EPs. The classics and new songs both will be included in the concert track list.

Enrique Iglesias

One of the top autumn 2018 concerts to take place in Ukraine is the hot performance by Enrique Iglesias. He is often regarded as the King of Latin Pop, having sold over 170 million records. The well-known heartthrob will perform on the Olympiiskyi stadium in the capital. Apart from the early 2000s hits like Hero and Escape, Enrique has new songs to present to the Ukrainian audience.

Ionna Lee

The Swedish synthpop artist Ionna Lee is best known as a frontwoman of the iamamiwhoami music project. The audiovisual creations of the band have quickly gone way beyond the laptop screens and performed at various music festivals in Sweden and Europe. This year, Ionna is engaged in a world tour that grasps North and South America, Western Europe and finally Ukraine. Visitors will hear dreamy tracks from the classic 10 Pieces, 10 Bruises and This Is Jonna Lee albums, as well as the latest addition to her musical resume – Everyone Afraid to Be Forgotten.

Three Days Grace

Three Days Grace slowly but surely climbed on the top of autumn 2018 concerts in Ukraine. Although the alternative rock band isn’t the first-timer in Ukraine, every concert gathers hundreds of dedicated fans and new curious listeners. This time, Three Days Grace will perform not only their classic 2000s hits like Pain and Animal I Have Become but also songs from the new album Outsider. The first single of the album, The Mountain, peaked at #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock music chart — which was, in fact, the lucky 13th time for the band.

DakhaBrakha

DakhaBrakha has already made history by becoming the first Ukrainian group to participate in the famous Glastonbury festival. The stars of Ukrainian avant-garde have also been included in the soundtrack of the American series Fargo in 2017. DakhaBrakha’s songs are an anarchistic reinterpretation of traditional Ukrainian folk songs blended with eclectic influences like Middle Eastern sounds and a touch of R&B, perfect for live sound.

God is an Astronaut

One of the most famous contemporary post-rock bands God is an Astronaut will give two concerts in Ukraine this autumn. The musicians from Ireland have skillfully combined more than four genres to produce their own recognizable sound. The fall tour is dedicated to the new LP Epitaph, full of anti-war lyrics that resonates well with Ukraine.
