Hejnał Krakowski
This concert is a part of the III International Pizzicato e Cantabile music festival that takes place in Lviv Philarmonic. Famous Polish organist Michał Białko will represent the contemporary music scene of West Galicia gathered in Krakow. The program includes pieces by Bach, Brahms, Liszt, Polich composer Mečyslav Surzyński, as well as a Lviv composer Bohdan Kotiuk.

The Flying Dutchman
The duo from the Netherlands and Japan, Jean-Pierre Steijvers and Hiroko Inoue will present the overtures and Adagio from Bach, Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky. Jean-Pierre Steijvers is the chief organist of the St. Christopher's Cathedral in Roermond and The Royal Flemish Symphonic Orchestra. Hiroko is a winner of multiple competitions of organists in Italy and Russia. Together, they will present the ageless classics performed on the organ.

Leopolis Baroque Festival
Many have heard or visited Leopolis Jazz Festival, but what about Baroque? Well, the beginning of August is a chance to drop by the opening. Ukrainian Festival Orchestra will present the Bach family duo: the well-known Johann Christian Bach and his son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, who gained high popularity within his lifetime. The concert will be finished with The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi.

Ukrainian Song Project 2018
Ukrainian Song Project national contest prepares a grand final concert with 27 performers to commemorate the 27th anniversary of Ukrainian independence. So far, the organizers announced several headliners: Pianoboy, Vopli Vidopliassova, Alyosha and O.Torvald. The finalists of the contest will join the contemporary stars on the Lviv stadium.

Shostakovich on Organ
August is also a month that marks the 8th International Organ Festival in Lviv. The event gathers masters of the instrument from all over the world in a series of 13 concerts. One of them is a solo performance of Yevheniia Kravchenko from Kyiv. The extensive program of the evening includes pieces by Bach, Vivaldi, Duruflé and two preludes by Shostakovich.

The Cancel Band
While a fusion of hip-hop and jazz might be difficult to imagine, that’s exactly what Ukrainian band The Cancel presents in their music. In the best traditions of jazz, the band deconstructs the melody to create something new and unseen, or rather unheard before.
