The Day of Sports celebration
The International Day of Sports will be celebrated in Lviv with a series of festive events. More than 400 representatives of international sports federations will take part in the grand celebration that will take place on September 8 on Universytetska Street near the Ivan Franko Monument. Famous athletes, including Olympic champions and Honored Coaches of Ukraine, will join the celebration at 11 A.M. The schedule also includes sports shows and workshops with celebrities.
The new free youth center and co-working space
The city will soon have one more co-working space, this time developed by Urbaniseas. At the moment, construction workers are adding the last finishing touches to the co-working that will soon be opened for public. The new youth center will be located on 31, Tchaikovsky Street and will have two floors. A library, conference hall and lounge zone with a kitchen will be located on the first floor, while the -1 floor will host a youth employment center, workroom, negotiation rooms and business lounge area. The center is meant to be an accessible space for youth to have business meetings and organize events for free.

Saint Peter and Paul Garrison Church restoration
St. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church is located in the very heart of Lviv and is one of the town's largest and most important sacral buildings. The Garrison Church was one of the first Baroque buildings in Lviv and amazed the locals not only with its majesty but also with its impressive size: 41 meters long, 22 meters wide and 26 meters high.
To sustain the architectural beauty, Lviv City Administration announced a tender for the restoration of the western facade of the church. The auction will take place on September 7. The date of the start of restoration works will be announced later as well.
Lviv Triathlon Cup and road access restrictions
Another sports event, Lviv Triathlon Cup, will take place in the city on September 9. The event will combine three sports: swimming (1,5km), running (10km) and cycling (40km). This is the first ever Triathlon Cup in Lviv, so the organizers are quite excited about the interest locals pay to the event.
Note that the road access in the central part of the city will be restricted from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. Traffic will be closed or restricted at different sections of the route from the Briukhovichi village to Svobody Avenue. Svobody Avenue and road from Doroshenko Street to Beryndy Street will be closed for private transport throughout for the whole Sunday. Starting from 10 A.M., Zamarstynivska, Warshavska Street, Chornovola Avenue and a part of Lypinskoho Street will gradually be closed for transport. Trolleybus #13 won't operate until 17.00. Trams #1, 2, 6, 7, 9 may have short-term delays in the city center.

The 100th anniversary of West Ukrainian People's Republic
On November 1 Lviv will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the announcement of the West Ukrainian People's Republic. The republic existed shortly from 1918 to 1919, yet its memory lives up to nowadays. It's proved, among many things, by the future installing of the new sculpture on 40, Horodetska Street. The sculpture will depict a lion from the WUPR's coat of arms, and blocks of wild stone with a vine, which symbolize the blood shed by Ukrainian soldiers during the conflict.
Moreover, locals and guests of the city will have a chance to see the historical reconstruction of the so-called November Action, most commonly known as the Battle of Lemberg. The six-month conflict began one morning when Ukrainian soldiers took over the Lviv's public utilities; raised Ukrainian flags in the city and proclaimed the birth of the independent state - West Ukrainian People's Republic. The exact time and place of the reconstruction are to be announced.
