New Bicycle Tracks in Expocenter of Ukraine
Following the newest recreational space with hammocks, Expocenter of Ukraine also gave the green light to the cyclists of the city. Now those who come to cycle on the huge territory of VDNG with their own bikes or those who rent them at numerous rentals can enjoy the route markings. Holidays, Fridays, and weekends especially are the most crowded time for Expocenter of Ukraine. That’s why the administration decided to put the corresponding markings — for cyclists and pedestrians — for the comfort of both. So far the bicycle routes cover the busiest central part of the Expocenter. The administration then plans to put markings on the paths leading to the center and finally to install the signs in the green area.

Many fashionistas of the capital have already saved the date — August 18 marks the opening of the first H&M shop in Ukraine. It will be located in Lavina Mall shopping center out of the city center. As previously told by company officials, Kyiv shop will include all collections available abroad from L.O.G.G. and Divided to exclusive collaborations with famous designers and brands. Illia Muromets Monument
At the beginning of the year, Park of Friendship of Peoples located in Desnianskyi district was renamed into the Muromets Park. The ex-Soviet name was ditched in favor of Illia Muromets, a famous folk hero of Kievan Rus known for his incredible strength, generousness and fiery temper. This summer, the park got not only the name but the statue of its namesake. The 11-meter statue of Illia Muromets on the horse was made with 3D printing technologies. Ukrainian strongman Vasyl Virastyuk became the prototype of the folk hero. Several benches are located near the monument as well as an alley with various Kievan Rus artifacts nearby.
New Regular Food Court
Those who often find themselves in trouble of choosing a place to eat may now apply to Khreschatyk Food Fest. Enthusiasts from KyivProject architecture company decided to open a regular-working food court on their premises located on Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street. The open-air court will not only be a place to grab food on the go but also a relaxation spot in the center of Kyiv. The list of food includes but isn’t limited to burgers, fries, hot dogs, Panini, ice cream, Georgian Khachapuri and Khinkali as well as tacos. Khreschatyk Food Fest will work all the year round in any weather. Besides, free concerts are planned to be introduced on weekends.
Skip Paris, Visit Kyiv
American magazine Forbes has recently recommended including Kyiv in the top of European getaway destinations. According to the article, Kyiv is visited by 1.6 million tourists per year opposed to 83 million in Paris. The drastic difference means that the capital of Ukraine is less crowded and provides easier access to sightseeing, transportation and fine dining.
