All works presented on the newly-opened exhibition keep to the concept called “The garden of questions”. Through their sculptures, the artists try to answer many questions related to development of the country, city and each individual living in it. Also, the organizers of Volume Park are interested in the reaction of regular Kyiv dwellers to the unusual artworks.
The main part of Volume Park art objects was created specifically for this exhibition. The list of artists who provided their works for the exhibition includes names of six modern Ukrainian sculptors: Olexiy Zolotarev, Vasiliy Grubliak, Danyla Shumikhin, Vitaliy Protosenya, Kateryna Buchchska and Ilya Novgorodov. The main idea of the exhibition is to familiarize people with sophisticated modern sculpture and to show that such masterpieces can be used as an elegant decoration of city streets as opposed to many weird and cheap-looking sculptures that we can find in Kyiv yards nowadays.

Before the official opening of the park, the organizers held a discussion near the Dnipro River on the topic “The principles of modern public art – ideology, tastes, trends; the role of sculpture in the city”.
One of the main purposes of Volume Park project is to establish a permanent modern sculpture park. It will be a place where anyone will be able to enjoy art not in museums or galleries, but right in the city streets and squares walking around together with family and friends.
