KSENIA SCHNAIDER S/S 2018 Collection

In the new collection, the creative duo behind Ksenia Schnaider continued to work with denim. Designers returned to their past and reinterpreted legendary models of jeans – “bananas”, “bermudas”, flares. All these models retained the familiar silhouette, high waist, but received fresh details, such as raw edges and a modern fit.

"I would like to attract the attention to the jeans back, the one they used to have in my childhood, when they had a truly cult status. I remember how much love and appreciation my parents had for their first pair of jeans, which they shared with each other”, - says Ksenia.

In addition to jeans, the collection has various denim pieces – original skirts in three lengths, a double-breasted blazer, a classic trench sewn from reworked material, shirts, shorts and even a fur coat.

“When I was a child, almost every woman around me had a fur coat, it was a necessity, not luxury. However, only a few had a pair of jeans. Jeans were the luxury in the Soviet 80s and 90s. My memories of that period encouraged me to create a faux fur coat from denim", - continues the designer, who has become well-known for an unconventional approach to using denim within the last couple of years.

Collections by Ksenia Schnaider are always diverse, so apart from denim, there are numerous feminine dresses and blouses made from linen, cambric and viscose.
Some dresses are covered with a print, that looks like classis polkadot from distance, but turns out to be smiling Emoji drawn by hand, when you take a closer look. It is another graphic trick from Anton Schnaider.
