The representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have informed that remote submission of documents and no need for visiting a Consular agency are the main advantages of e-visa. They have also told that it will be possible to track the stages of documents processing online.
As it was announced by the Ministry`s media office, electronic visas can be issued for entering Ukraine with tourist or business purpose. To get an e-visa, a person will have to do the following steps:
– fill the form on the website;
– download scanned copies of necessary documents;
– pay with a bank card (MasterCard or Visa);
– print e-visa received by email.
The whole process of visa processing takes 9 working days. The cost of the service is USD 65. The maximal duration of a single-entry e-visa is 30 days.

The website of the Ministry has also published the list of countries, citizens of which have the right to apply for Ukrainian e-visa. The list includes Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Bahrain, Bolivia, Bhutan, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominica, Guatemala, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Oman, Palau, Peru, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Singapore, Suriname, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Fiji, Jamaica.
By the way, Pavlo Klimkin also wrote in his Twitter that the new system had been already put into practice – the first Ukrainian e-visa was issued to a citizen of Thailand. As we can see, travelling to Ukraine is becoming easier and therefore much more enjoyable.
