So, if Odessa is your choice of the year, the next biggest point is how to get there as quickly and convenient as possible. There are at least several options – travelling by bus, car, or train. But in the case you lack time you’d better stick to the air transport and book tickets for a plane. Thus it is likely to save time, the most valuable resource during holidays, and spend those hours somewherenear the seaside instead of on the way.
Odessa International Airport operates both domestic and international flights. Fly to Odessa is possible directly from Kiev, Minsk, Istanbul, Vienna, Warsaw, etc. From Odessa you might also take a plane to Prague, Batumi, Baku, Tel Aviv and so on. Detailed timetables are available here.

After landing in Odessa you would probably need to get to the city center or railway station. It does not take a rocket scientist. For instance, the distance between the airport and the heart of Odessa – Deribasivska Street – is about 9 km. You could pass this way by public transport or taxi. Bus №117 will take you directly from the airport to the center (with stops) in approximately one hour (the cost of a trip is roughlyUAH 5).
The final destination of trolleybus№14, which starts off from the airport as well, is the central railway station. It runs daily from 6.47 a.m. to 07.07 p.m. local time (from the airport) and from 7.24 a.m. to 07.44 p.m. (from the station). Ticketscost approximately UAH 1,5; trip time is 36 minutes.

Travelling by taxi will be more expensive, but comfortable for those who have luggage. You can easily pick up a car near the airport or call to the taxi service. The total price varies depending on time, traffic, and other circumstances. On average, a journey could cost UAH 70 and higher. You might also consider booking your transfer beforehand. The return trip to the airport from Odessa is also not a problem. Use the same tips and kinds of transport.
No doubts, in order to have excellent time in Odessa you need a nice hotel. Within the city you would find plenty of different offers: closer to the sea, historical or business center. If you like to stay somewhere outside the traffic jams, you could choose hotels, hostels, or apartments in or nearby the airport (in about 2,4 km and more). Prices per night in summer start from UAH 300-400.
