Beautiful Camping Locations in Ukraine

When it comes to choosing the perfect place for a camping trip, there is no shortage of beautiful and adventurous camp locations to choose from in Ukraine. There are many amazing places all over the world where you can camp for a few days and spend quality time with your friends and family. Camping in Ukrainian canyons is a highly desired activity for the more adventurous travelers. However, it requires planning ahead. Bugsky Guard National Natural Park is a real magnet for tourists, photographers, and lovers of extreme sports. One of Europe’s most popular rapids for whitewater rafting is located here. This place will awe you with the untouched beauty of nature and breathtaking views. The park proudly holds a title of one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine.

Another interesting option for romantic camping getaway is Bakota Bay, near Kamianets-Podilskyi in Khmelnytskiy Region. Formerly a fortified town in the Principality of Galicia-Volyn’, Bakota was first mentioned in the Hypatian Chronicle under the year 1240. It is located in the valley of the Dniester River in eastern Podilia. Bakota has an ancient Orthodox cave monastery with frescoes and paintings dating back to the 12th-14th centuries. There is a Paleolithic archeological site near the village. Bakota offers breathtaking vistas over Dniester River.

The Shatsky National Nature Park lies 160km northwest of Lutsk in the corner between Belarus and Poland, and has some 200 lakes, rivers and streams. Ukraine's wild 'Lake District' and its deep Lake Svityaz is very appealing to the most adventurous of camping and rafting tourists. If you are interested in heading to this park, catch one of the frequent buses to Kovel and change for the village of Shatsk. At least eight buses a day also go direct to Shatsk from Lutsk (UAH 60, three hours). Don't even consider heading this way without lashings of mosquito repellent.
Synevir is the largest and one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Carpathian Mountains. It is also called "Sea Eye" or "Pearl of the Carpathians". The lake attracts many campers from spring to late fall with its crystal clear waters and unique landscapes.

If you want to wake up to the seagulls screams and sea waves striking at beach, head to the Khadzhybey Lyman in Odesa region. This location will offer long sandy beaches, places for fishing and beautiful sea vistas.
Biryuchuy Island in Kherson region in Ukraine offers 9 km of white sandy beach and turquoise waters. This is perfect location for escaping life's everyday stresses and sharing each other's appreciation for the sights, sounds and scents of the outdoors.
