Alexandria Park is a masterpiece of landscape architecture created by dynasty of Branirsky counts. This park, as well as the park in Uman, has been founded thanks to the generosity of a man and the beauty of a woman. In 1781 there was a wedding of F.K. Branitsky and Alexandra Engelhardt in St. Petersburg. Branitsky’s lands were located in the Kiev region, where the Polish aristocrat brought his young wife. He gave his wife a carte blanche for ‘landscaping’. The construction of the park was started in the end of 1780s. Many plants for the park were imported from Europe.
