As Destinations previously wrote, Irish low-cost airlines Ryanair made an announcement about entering Ukraine after the last-year communication failure. Luckily, in 2018 the top management of the company and Boryspil airport finally came to terms of the agreement. Starting late October – early November, residents of Ukraine will be able to enjoy the following destinations with flights from Kyiv: Barcelona, Bratislava, Stockholm, London, Vilnius, as well as Polish cities Wroclaw, Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan, and Gdansk. Apart from Boryspil International Airport, Ryanair will operate in Lviv as well, flying to Krakow, Warsaw, Dusseldorf, Memmingen, and London. The official schedule is yet to be announced, but according to estimates, most flights will take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Another famous low-cost airlines, WizzAir, introduces 16 new flights to and from Ukrainian airports. According to the press announcement, they are mostly centred in Lviv: flights Lviv – Gnask, Lviv – Katowice, and Lviv – Dortmund began on March 26. Another flight, Lviv – London, will start operating on May 1. Kyiv International airport Zhuliany will have new flights as well — since late June, travellers will be able to book directions Kyiv — Tallinn and Kyiv — Lisbon. Finally, good news for dwellers of Kharkiv — WizzAir will introduce flights Kharkiv — Dortmund and Kharkiv — Katowice this year.
Swiss Air Lines followed their colleagues and returned to the Ukrainian market: from March 26, direct flight Kyiv — Zurich is now available at Boryspil Airport. The 3-hour flight can be booked for Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Ukrainian airlines SkyUp starts regular flights from April 2018. The newcomer on the market, SkyUp will provide regular internal flights, as well as international charters. Since June 2018, internal Kyiv — Odesa and Kharkiv — Odesa will appear in the timetables of the respective airports. Besides, international flights to Barcelona and Larnaca will be opened for booking as well. The company has recently signed a purchase agreement with Boeing: two Boeing 737 MAX 8 and three Boeing 737 MAX 10 will soon join the fleet.
Finally, the international news: Ukraine and Qatar signed an agreement on the visa-free regime. It allows residents of both countries to transit and stay on the territory of the respective country up to 90 days in a 180-day term without a visa.
