The Battle of Tailors at the 38th Ukrainian Fashion Week was organized on the initiative of the Ukrainian Charisma Fashion Group boutiques founder and owner Andriy Zdesenko. The main objective of the project is to open new names in men's fashion and tailoring and to establish men’s fashion as a separate independent segment of the Ukrainian fashion market.

Three Ukrainian most famous and professional tailors - Eduard Kulbachenko, Olexandr Ignatiev and Roman Demidov – were competing with each other for five days at the Homme Space location, observed by the curious public. The masters were sewing men's suits of different tailoring standards for special guests: Yuriy Horbunov, the 1+1 TV channel anchorman; Viktor Kardash, the ATO veteran and participant of ‘Peremozhtsi’ (Winners) social project; and Yuriy Marchenko, the editor-in-chief of Platfor.ma online magazine.

The judges evaluated the results of the Battle of Tailors not only by sewing skills, but also considering individual sense of style. The final stage of the competition was to create a holistic way of additional men's accessories usage.

Andriy Zdesenko announced that the winner of the first Ukrainian Battle of Tailors at Ukrainian Fashion Week 2016-2017 became Eduard Kulbachenko, the founder and creative director of E.K.bespok studio.
