Odesa City Food Market: Best Street Food Vendors Under One Roof

Odesa gastro scene is known for its vibrancy and diversity. Many travelers come to this beautiful city to savor delicious and very peculiar Black Sea cuisine, which is not limited to fancy restaurants, but can be easily enjoyed at numerous street food joints scattered around the city. Those who are looking for some real Odesa gastro experience are in luck, as City Food Market recently opened in Odesa downtown and it gathered together best street food vendors under one roof.

Odesa City Food Market is centrally located on 9A, Ryshylievska street. This is a specially designed gastro space, which houses 6 street food joints and 12 cafes. The amount will be increasing. The building, where City Food Market is located has very rich history. Before WW1 it used to house Odesa Commercial Bank; during Soviet era this was a movie theater which was turned into a night club in recent years.

Currently the gastro space is working in a test mode with official opening date planned for July 24th, 2017. This project is a brain child of a well-known restaurateur Alex Cooper, who also stands behind such popular and beloved restaurants as Cooper Burgers, Givi to me, Mao and Molodost’. The interior design was created by popular Ukrainian architect Slava Balbek.
