Music Arts Talk International Cultural Project by Music Arts Academy

Music Arts Talk will become a truly unforgettable present for all the Kyiv classical music fans. The event was headlined by Valeriy Sokolov, internationally recognized violinist. On May 30th, 2017 Lieberman Estate (2, Bankova street, Kyiv) hosted the first event from the Music Arts Talk series of concerts.

The Ukrainian violinist, Valeriy Sokolov, is one of the most outstanding young artists of his generation. Working regularly with the world’s leading orchestras, he has enjoyed collaborations with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Cleveland Orchestra, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Rotterdam Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, NAC Ottawa, Orchestra National de France and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.  He works frequently with conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, David Zinman, Susanna Malkki, Andris Nelsons, Peter Oundjian, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Vasily Petrenko, Herbert Soudant & Juraj Valcuha.

2017.05.30 Music Arts Talk 93

The sweet tone in Sokolov's violin lines owes to iconic Stradivarius, dated 1703. Experts say, that the instrument can cost up to 5 million dollars if being presented at any of the international auctions.
Valeriy Sokolov also hosted a small workshop for Ukrainian musicians, who had a chance to networks and exchange their experience during the planned mingling session.

International Cultural Project Music Arts Talk is initiated by the private musical school Music Arts Academy. The school aims at popularization classical music among young Ukrainian generation. Students and graduates of Music Arts Academy have successfully presented Ukraine in many international contests. The organizers of the Music Arts Talk want to show numerous success stories of young and talented Ukrainian musicians abroad; to help them find support and sponsors much needed for taking part in prestigious international concerts and festivals.
