ÉTERNITÉ is a 2016 French romantic historical drama film written and directed by Tran Anh Hung, and based on the novel L'Élégance des veuves by Alice Ferney. The film takes place over a century, and follows two generations of characters. This is a beautiful story of the women and relationships that define a family across a century.
LA TORTUE ROUGE is dialogue-less animation film. It follows the major life stages of a castaway on a deserted tropical island populated by turtles, crabs and birds.
LES BEAUX JOURS D'ARANJUEZ is a 2016 drama film directed by Wim Wenders. It is based on the 2012 play Die schönen Tage von Aranjuez by Peter Handke. It was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival. A beautiful summer day. A garden. A terrace. A woman and a man sit at a table beneath the trees, with a soft summer wind. In the distance, in the vast plain, there is a silhouette of Paris. A conversation begins: questions and answers between the woman and the man. It deals with sexual experiences, childhood, memories, the essence of summer and the difference between men and women. It illustrates both, feminine perspective and masculine perception. In the background, inside the house that opens onto the terrace, towards the woman and the man there is the writer, in the process of imagining this dialogue and typing it down. Or is it the other way around? Might it be that those two characters over there tell him what he's putting down on paper: a long, final dialogue between a man and a woman?
MAL DE PIERRES In 1950's France, Gabrielle is a passionate, free-spirited woman who is in a loveless marriage and falls for another man when she is sent away to the Alps to treat her kidney stones. Gabrielle yearns to free herself and runs away with André.
