‘Fly’ Jazz Concert in Kiev

Photo: Closer.Jazz Official Facebook pageDrummer Jeff Ballard, tenor saxophonist Mark Turner and bassist Larry Grenadier, united in ‘Fly’ jazz trio, are going to perform in Closer Art Space on June 12, 2016 within Closer.Jazz series of concerts in Kiev.

Every member of ‘Fly’ trio is well known in the world of jazz music. They are the three musical personalities, very different and so complementary at the same time. That is why their common ‘Fly’ project emphasizes the importance of collective creativity, which means the absence of leader and equal presence of three musicians.

“Music, created by ‘Fly’, consists of elements that often contradict each other. It is intellectually complex: the composition can be rhythmically and harmonically rich and, at the same time, it makes a strong emotional impact, leads through a deep groove and quite naturally opens up the history of their music. It is a great charging for the mind and the test for the heart, which are separate from each other”, - says famous jazz musician Brad Meldo.
