The Sorochynsky Fair is one of the most famous Ukrainian fairs, traditionally held in the homeland of the writer Mykola Gogol - Poltava. He depicted this event in his iconic work, "Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka."

The Sorochynsky Fair will take place on August 26 in two French-speaking cantons: Geneva and Vaud.

This significant event is dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine, which has gained special significance in the fight against Russian aggression.

The project's mission is to learn more about Ukrainian culture and help refugees from Ukraine integrate into their new environment.

In Versoix, the canton of Geneva, the event is supported by the municipality and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN, with co-organizers being the Geneva Branch of the Ukrainian Society and the Association D.

Among the co-organizers in Lausanne, Vaud canton are the charity fund "IvAlive" and the Ukrainian Day Center.
