Danish Movie Night in Kiev

Kinopanorama, one of the oldest cinemas of Kiev with long history and local popularity for screening independent non-mainstream cinematography, will host Danish Movie Night on April 16, 2016.

The program of the night movie marathon will feature four recent Danish films that received multiple awards and gained international popularity.

All Inclusive (2014)
After finding out that her husband cheated on her, Lise decides to go on vacation to Malta with her two daughters Ditte and Sigrid. The two sisters are have different characters and try to cheer their mother up in very different ways. All Inclusive is a pleasant comedy movie about love and figuring out how to be a family.

En chance til/A Second Chance (2014)
Detectives and best friends Andreas and Simon lead vastly different lives: Andreas has settled down with his beautiful wife and son, while Simon, recently divorced, spends most of his waking hours getting drunk at the local strip club. However, everything changes when the two of them are called out to a domestic dispute between a junkie couple, caught in a vicious cycle of violence and drugs. It looked very routine, until Andreas found the couple's infant son crying in a closet. The usually collected policeman finds himself confronted with his own powerlessness and is shaken to his core. As Andreas slowly loses his grip on justice, it suddenly becomes up to the unruly Simon to restore the balance between right and wrong. ‘A Second Chance’ is a shocking, moving and thrilling drama about real people forced into incredible circumstances.

Klumpfisken/The Sunfish (2014)
Kesse is a fisherman in third generation, living in a small and windblown town of Hirtshals, in Northern Jutland. As a result of new fishery policies and the global financial crisis, the smaller fishermen are slowly succumbing to the pressure of competing with larger fishing enterprises. Kesse is struggling to survive, desperately holding on to the only way of life he knows. Desperate times require desperate measures and so, due to increasing financial pressure, Kesse is forced to find more notorious and alternative ways of making ends meet. This in turn, leads him to meet his polar opposite, the female marine biologist Gerd.

Chief detective Carl Mørck and his assistant Assad become involved in a five-year-old case concerning the mystery of politician Merete Lynggaard's disappearance - a journey that takes them deep into the undercurrent of abuse and malice that lurks beneath the polished surface of Scandinavia.
