Swiss photographer Niels Ackermann, the winner of several prestigious Swiss photography competitions in 2015, is going to present his latest Chernobyl's Children Grew Up project in Kiev. His works give way to a sensitive depiction of the youth from Slavutich, ‘the youngest town’ in Ukraine. Accompanying a group of adolescents on their way of growing up, he traced the development of young people with their ups and downs, dreams, aspirations and love stories. This sincere report, which shows the youth in search of their own way in life, is an opposition to a negative and devastating image of the Chernobyl disaster.
After the opening ceremony on March 15 at 6 pm, ‘The Future of Chernobyl Youth’ panel discussion will take place at 7:30pm.
