On November 2nd Ivan Franko National Theater in Kyiv will host a major classical music event of the 2016 - «Big Classics» concert by Shlomo Mintz and Svitloconcert. The event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Ukraine - Israel diplomatic relations and is organized under patronage of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine.
Shlomo Mintz is an Israeli violin virtuoso, violist and conductor. He regularly appears with orchestras and conductors on the international scene and is heard in recitals and chamber music concerts around the world. Shlomo Mintz is one of the foremost violinists of our time, esteemed for his impeccable musicianship, stylistic versatility and commanding technique alike. He has won several prestigious prizes including the Premio Internazionale Accademia Musicale Chigiana, the Diapason D’Or, the Grand Prix du Disque, the Gramophone Award and the Edison Award.

Shlomo Mintz and honorary Jerusalem Syphonic Orchestra conductor Dmitry Yablonsky will share a stage with «Kyiv Virtuosy» orchestra. Orchestra musicians are the representatives of the major National musical collectives of the country, students of the best teachers of Ukraine, Europe and the United States, many of whom studied and worked together with the renowned Ukrainian violinist B. A. Kotorovich. The orchestra presents two generations of musicians whose average age is 30 years. All musicians are great performers of chamber music and professional soloists, members of the major international festivals. Dmitry Yablonsky is the chief conductor of the “Kyiv Virtuosi” Orchestra, honorary conductor of the Jerusalem Orchestra, nominee for a Grammy award. He performs worldwide at such venues as Carnegie Hall located in New York, La Scala in Milan, Palais Garnier in Paris.
