The artist found his inspiration in the modern architecture of cosmopolitan cities: Miami, New York, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dubai, Barcelona, Kyiv, Yalta. A unique Ubik's vision of minimalism, purity of form, beauty of lines and geometry of space can be seen in the series of urban photographs. The photographer explores the atmosphere and rhythm of modern megapolis through human interaction with its architecture and environment. Each photo shows a pulsation of the new time.
“It's important to me to feel the energy of the city, to understand how the architectural environment interacts with us. People have to find a balance with the outside world and save it”, – says Ubik Litvin.
Ubik Litvin is an Ukrainian artist, photographer and designer. His works has already been appreciated in the United States and Europe. Ubik's photographs belong to local and foreign collections of art lovers. The author researches the internal and social freedom of people all around the world.
“This project is intended to draw attention to such a type of media art as photography and to present it as a self-sufficient and promising area of contemporary Ukrainian art. I am sure that the Contemporary Architecture Photography exhibition is just the beginning of our fruitful cooperation with Ubik Litvin”, – comments Dmytro Palienko, the founder of the Sky Art Foundation.
The presentation of the art project in TSUM, a space which is open to a wide audience, demonstrates a new level of social and cultural communication, when art, instead of becoming a commodity, performs an educational function that provokes cultural changes and broadens the viewer's outlook.
The exhibition will take place in the space of Art-TSUM (7th floor of TSUM). The entrance to the exhibition is free.
Organizer: Sky Art Foundation. Partners: Business Gallery Ukraine, TSUM. Curator: Julia Ostrovska.
The presentation of the project will take place on October 24 at 19:00. For invited guests.
