In April 2018, the stage of Podil Port creative hub will be filled with total darkness. Viewers will have an opportunity to tear the boundaries of the play, based on the novel of José Saramago, and project the story right in their imagination.
An hour and half in an acute mental state without the ability to see will actually help viewers to get the ‘new vision’ of themselves, outer world, social boundaries and moral principles. This way, each person has their own of view as opposed to the classical theater’s imposed presentation.

Site-specific genre was first mentioned in 1980, but was widely recognized only in the beginning of new millennium. It is aimed at using theatre space in a way that makes viewer a direct participant of the play.
Note that the play contains profanity, and isn’t recommended for people with unstable mental health and those suffering from nyctophobia. All mobile devices are to be left outside the theater hall.
In case any viewers feel unwell, theatre’s assistants will provide assistance and lead them to the light.
Play will be held on May 25 at 8 P.M. and May 26 at 8.30 P.M.
