On September 28, 2017, “Editions” art auction will take place in “Zolotoye Secheniye” (“Golden Section”) showroom in Kyiv. The auction preview on September 20-27 will present masterpieces of the most famous world artists such as Rembrandt, Dali, Picasso, Giacometti with original signatures of the authors, as well as works of Ukrainian classics and the Sixtiers.

Etching “Saint Jerome in a dark chamber”, dated 1642, is the gem of the collection. This work was originally created by the eminent genius, Netherlandish artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn. Similar etching was sold on Christie’s auction in 2016 for GBP 86,000. Starting price for “Saint Jerome in a dark chamber” on upcoming “Editions” art auction will be only USD 2,500.
Rare engravings and etchings of old masters such as Piranesi, Dürer, Sadeler, Raimondi, Shishkin, Bogaevsky will be also put up for “Editions” auction.

Other top lots will include works of Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, Henri Matisse, Hovsep Pushman with original signatures of the authors. In Europe such works are sold in auctions for tens of thousand dollars. On “Editions” art auction, staring prices will vary in limits USD 1,000 - USD 3,000.
Works of famous Japanese master Katsushika Hokusai will be one of the most significant attractions of the exhibition. Precise copies of two well-known graphic works of the artist, “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” and “Old View of the Boat-bridge at Sano in Kôzuke Province”, were made in Japan in XIX century using complicated multicolor lithography technique.
Exposition will also include impressive works of well-known Ukrainian authors such as Vasiliy Kasiyan, Mikhail Deregus, Leopold Levitsky, Grigoriy Cavrilenko, Alexander Aksinin, Ernest Kotkov.
The overall number of auction art objects is 55.
